| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | the clatterer (the day of judgement)! (1) | | الْقَارِعَةُ ﴿1﴾ | what is the clatterer. (2) | | مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ﴿2﴾ | what shall let you know what the clatterer is! (3) | | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ﴿3﴾ | on that day people shall become like scattered moths (4) | | يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ ﴿4﴾ | and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. (5) | | وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوشِ ﴿5﴾ | then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the scale (6) | | فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ﴿6﴾ | shall live in a life which is pleasing, (7) | | فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ﴿7﴾ | but he whose weight is light in the scale, (8) | | وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ﴿8﴾ | his head will be in the plunging (9) | | فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ ﴿9﴾ | what shall let you know what the plunging is? (10) | | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ ﴿10﴾ | (it is) a fire which is extremely hot. (11) | | نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ﴿11﴾ |
