| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | read (prophet muhammad) in the name of your lord who created, (1) | | اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ﴿1﴾ | created the human from a (blood) clot. (2) | | خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ﴿2﴾ | read! your lord is the most generous, (3) | | اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ ﴿3﴾ | who taught by the pen, (4) | | الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ ﴿4﴾ | taught the human what he did not know. (5) | | عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ﴿5﴾ | indeed, surely the human is very insolent (6) | | كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَى ﴿6﴾ | that he sees himself sufficed. (7) | | أَن رَّآهُ اسْتَغْنَى ﴿7﴾ | indeed, to your lord is the returning. (8) | | إِنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَى ﴿8﴾ | what do you think? have you seen he who forbids (9) | | أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَى ﴿9﴾ | a worshiper when he prays. (10) | | عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّى ﴿10﴾ |
