In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
by the heaven of the constellations! (1) | | وَالسَّمَاء ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ ﴿1﴾ |
by the promised day! (2) | | وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ ﴿2﴾ |
by the witness and the witnessed! (3) | | وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ ﴿3﴾ |
the companions of the pit were killed (4) | | قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ ﴿4﴾ |
the fire with its fuel, (5) | | النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ ﴿5﴾ |
when they were seated around it (6) | | إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ ﴿6﴾ |
and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers (7) | | وَهُمْ عَلَى مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ ﴿7﴾ |
and their revenge on them was only because they believed in allah, the almighty, the praised, (8) | | وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ ﴿8﴾ |
to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and earth. and allah is the witness of all things. (9) | | الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ ﴿9﴾ |
those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of gehenna (hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. (10) | | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ ﴿10﴾ |
(but) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the great victory! (11) | | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ ﴿11﴾ |
indeed, the seizing of your lord is severe. (12) | | إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ ﴿12﴾ |
it is he who originates and repeats. (13) | | إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ ﴿13﴾ |
and he is the forgiving, and the loving. (14) | | وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ ﴿14﴾ |
owner of the throne, the exalted. (15) | | ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ ﴿15﴾ |
the doer of whatever he wants. (16) | | فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ ﴿16﴾ |
has it come to you the story of the hosts (17) | | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ ﴿17﴾ |
of pharaoh and of thamood? (18) | | فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ ﴿18﴾ |
yet the unbelievers still belie, (19) | | بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ ﴿19﴾ |
allah encompasses them all from behind. (20) | | وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ ﴿20﴾ |
indeed, this is a glorious koran, (21) | | بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَّجِيدٌ ﴿21﴾ |
in a guarded tablet. (22) | | فِي لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍ ﴿22﴾ |
