| | | some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. (11) | | وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَلِكَ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا ﴿11﴾ | we know that we cannot frustrate allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate him by flight. (12) | | وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا ﴿12﴾ | when we heard the guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. (13) | | وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَى آمَنَّا بِهِ فَمَن يُؤْمِن بِرَبِّهِ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا ﴿13﴾ | some of us have surrendered (muslims) and some of us have deviated. those who surrendered sought the right path, (14) | | وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا ﴿14﴾ | but those who have deviated shall become the fuel of gehenna (hell). (15) | | وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا ﴿15﴾ | if they had followed the path we would give to them abundant water to drink, (16) | | وَأَلَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُم مَّاء غَدَقًا ﴿16﴾ | and tested them with it. and whosoever turns away from his lord's remembrance, he will hurl him into a stern punishment. (17) | | لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا ﴿17﴾ | mosques belong to allah, so do not call to anyone else, other than allah. (18) | | وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا ﴿18﴾ | when the worshiper of allah stood supplicating to him, they swarmed around him (prophet muhammad). (19) | | وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا ﴿19﴾ | say: 'i supplicate only to my lord and i do not associate any with him. ' (20) | | قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا ﴿20﴾ |
