| | | who belied the day of recompense! (11) | | الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴿11﴾ | none belies it except every guilty sinner. (12) | | وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿12﴾ | when our verses are recited to him, he says: 'fictitious tales of the ancients! ' (13) | | إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿13﴾ | no indeed! their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts. (14) | | كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿14﴾ | no indeed, on that day they shall be veiled from their lord. (15) | | كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿15﴾ | then they shall roast in hell, (16) | | ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيمِ ﴿16﴾ | and it will be said to them: 'this is that which you belied! ' (17) | | ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿17﴾ | but, the book of the righteous is in the 'illiyoon. (18) | | كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿18﴾ | what could let you know what the 'illiyoon is! (19) | | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿19﴾ | (it is) a marked book, (20) | | كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿20﴾ |
