Chapter 73: AL-MUZZAMMIL (THE ENSHROUDED ONE) - Translation

|
| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | o you (prophet muhammad) wrapped, (1) | | يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ ﴿1﴾ | rise (to pray) the night except a little; (2) | | قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ﴿2﴾ | half the night, or a little less (3) | | نِصْفَهُ أَوِ انقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا ﴿3﴾ | or a little more; and with recitation, recite the koran. (4) | | أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا ﴿4﴾ | we are about to cast upon you a weighty word. (5) | | إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا ﴿5﴾ | indeed, the first part of night is heavier in tread, and more upright in speech. (6) | | إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْءًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا ﴿6﴾ | you have by day prolonged occupations. (7) | | إِنَّ لَكَ فِي اَلنَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا ﴿7﴾ | remember the name of your lord and dedicate yourself devoutly to him. (8) | | وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا ﴿8﴾ | he is the lord of the east and the west; there is no god except him. take him for your guardian. (9) | | رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا ﴿9﴾ | bear patiently with what they say and with a fine abandonment forsake them. (10) | | وَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا ﴿10﴾ |
