| | | and when the waters rose (high) we carried you in the sailing (ark), (11) | | إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاء حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ ﴿11﴾ | making it a reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain. (12) | | لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ ﴿12﴾ | when a single blow is blown on the horn, (13) | | فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ ﴿13﴾ | when the earth with all its mountains is lifted up and crushed with a single blow, (14) | | وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً ﴿14﴾ | on that day, the event occurs. (15) | | فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ ﴿15﴾ | the heaven will be split; because on that day it will be frail. (16) | | وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاء فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ ﴿16﴾ | the angels will stand on all its sides. and on that day, eight (of them) will carry the throne of your lord above them. (17) | | وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَى أَرْجَائِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ ﴿17﴾ | on that day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden. (18) | | يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَى مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ ﴿18﴾ | then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'here, take and read my book! (19) | | فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَؤُوا كِتَابِيهْ ﴿19﴾ | indeed, i knew that i should come to my reckoning. ' (20) | | إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيهْ ﴿20﴾ |
