have you not seen the hypocrites? they say to their brothers among the people of the book who disbelieve, 'if they expel you, we will go with you. we will never obey anyone against you. if they fight against you we will certainly help you. ' but allah bears witness that they are, without doubt, liars. (11) | | أَلَمْ تَر إِلَى الَّذِينَ نَافَقُوا يَقُولُونَ لِإِخْوَانِهِمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَئِنْ أُخْرِجْتُمْ لَنَخْرُجَنَّ مَعَكُمْ وَلَا نُطِيعُ فِيكُمْ أَحَدًا أَبَدًا وَإِن قُوتِلْتُمْ لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ﴿11﴾ |
if they are expelled or fought against, they will not go with them, nor will they will help them. indeed, if they helped them, they would turn their backs and then they would not be helped. (12) | | لَئِنْ أُخْرِجُوا لَا يَخْرُجُونَ مَعَهُمْ وَلَئِن قُوتِلُوا لَا يَنصُرُونَهُمْ وَلَئِن نَّصَرُوهُمْ لَيُوَلُّنَّ الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ ﴿12﴾ |
their fear of you in their hearts is greater than their fear of allah; that is because they are a people who do not understand. (13) | | لَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ ﴿13﴾ |
they will never fight against you all together except from fortified villages or from behind walls. their courage is great among themselves; you think them to be united, yet their hearts are not united. that is because they are a people who have no sense. (14) | | لَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِي قُرًى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوْ مِن وَرَاء جُدُرٍ بَأْسُهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ شَدِيدٌ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿14﴾ |
just as those who, not long before, tasted the mischief of their actions, there awaits for them a painful punishment. (15) | | كَمَثَلِ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا ذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿15﴾ |
like satan when he said to the human, 'disbelieve'; then as soon as he disbelieved, he said, 'indeed, i am innocent of you, surely, i fear allah, the lord of all the worlds. ' (16) | | كَمَثَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِذْ قَالَ لِلْإِنسَانِ اكْفُرْ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّنكَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿16﴾ |
their end shall be that they live for ever in the fire. that is the recompense of the harmdoers. (17) | | فَكَانَ عَاقِبَتَهُمَا أَنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ خَالِدَيْنِ فِيهَا وَذَلِكَ جَزَاء الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿17﴾ |
believers, fear allah. let every soul look to what it has forwarded for the future, and fear allah, for allah is aware of the things you do. (18) | | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿18﴾ |
do not be like those who have forgotten allah so that he has caused them to forget their souls. those, they are the evildoers. (19) | | وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَأَنسَاهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ ﴿19﴾ |
the inhabitants of the fire and the inhabitants of paradise are not equal. the inhabitants of paradise shall be triumphant. (20) | | لَا يَسْتَوِي أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ وَأَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ﴿20﴾ |
