(11) | | جُندٌ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِّنَ الْأَحْزَابِ ﴿11﴾ | before them the nations of noah, aad and pharaoh, and he of the tentpegs belied, (12) | | كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الْأَوْتَادِ ﴿12﴾ | thamood, the nation of lot and the dwellers of the thicket such were the confederates. (13) | | وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ أُوْلَئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ ﴿13﴾ | there was not one of those that did not belie the messengers. therefore, my retribution was realized. (14) | | إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ ﴿14﴾ | these only wait for a single shout for which there will be no delay. (15) | | وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَؤُلَاء إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍ ﴿15﴾ | they say: 'our lord, hasten to us our share before the day of recompense. ' (16) | | وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ ﴿16﴾ | bear patiently with what they say, and remember our worshiper david, a man of might. he was ever turning in repentance. (17) | | اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ ﴿17﴾ | we subjected the mountains to exalt (me) with him in the evening and at sunrise, (18) | | إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَهُ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِشْرَاقِ ﴿18﴾ | and the birds, too, gathered each obedient to him. (19) | | وَالطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةً كُلٌّ لَّهُ أَوَّابٌ ﴿19﴾ | we made his kingdom strong and gave him wisdom and decisive speech. (20) | | وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ ﴿20﴾ |
