| | | the nation of pharaoh. will they not fear me? ' (11) | | قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ ﴿11﴾ | 'my lord, ' he replied, 'i fear they will belie me (12) | | قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ ﴿12﴾ | and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to aaron. (13) | | وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَى هَارُونَ ﴿13﴾ | they hold a sin against me, and i fear that they will kill me. ' (14) | | وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ ﴿14﴾ | he said: 'never so, go both of you with our signs; we shall be with you, listening (15) | | قَالَ كَلَّا فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ ﴿15﴾ | go both to pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'we are (each) a messenger from the lord of all the worlds. (16) | | فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿16﴾ | send forth with us the children of israel. ' (17) | | أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ﴿17﴾ | he (pharaoh) said (to moses): 'did we not bring you up when you were a child? and have you not spent years of your life amongst us? (18) | | قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ ﴿18﴾ | yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did. ' (19) | | وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ ﴿19﴾ | he (moses) replied: 'indeed, i did that when i was among those who stray. (20) | | قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ ﴿20﴾ |
