Chapter 88: AL-GHASHIYA (THE OVERWHELMING) - Translation

|
| | | what, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? (17) | | أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ﴿17﴾ | and how the heaven was raised up, (18) | | وَإِلَى السَّمَاء كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ﴿18﴾ | and how the mountains were firmly fixed? (19) | | وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ﴿19﴾ | and how the earth was outstretched? (20) | | وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ﴿20﴾ | therefore remind, you are only a reminder. (21) | | فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ﴿21﴾ | you are not charged to oversee them. (22) | | لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ﴿22﴾ | as for those who turn their back and disbelieve, (23) | | إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَ ﴿23﴾ | allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. (24) | | فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ ﴿24﴾ | indeed, to us they shall return, (25) | | إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ ﴿25﴾ | then upon us shall rest their reckoning. (26) | | ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ ﴿26﴾ |
