| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | when the event (the resurrection) comes (1) | | إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ ﴿1﴾ | there is no denying its coming (2) | | لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ﴿2﴾ | (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). (3) | | خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ ﴿3﴾ | when the earth is shaken (4) | | إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا ﴿4﴾ | and the mountains fragmented (5) | | وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا ﴿5﴾ | becoming scattered dust, (6) | | فَكَانَتْ هَبَاء مُّنبَثًّا ﴿6﴾ | you shall be divided into three parties, (7) | | وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً ﴿7﴾ | companions of the right, what are the companions of the right? (8) | | فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ ﴿8﴾ | companions of the left, what are the companions of the left? (9) | | وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ ﴿9﴾ | and the outstrippers, the outstrippers (10) | | وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ ﴿10﴾ |
