In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | |
the merciful (1) | | الرَّحْمَنُ ﴿1﴾ |
has taught the koran.
he created the human (3) | | خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿3﴾ |
and taught him its pronunciation.
the sun and the moon to a reckoning.
the stars and the trees prostrate themselves.
he raised the heaven on high and set the scale.
do not transgress the scales.
give just weight and do not skimp the scales.
he set down the earth for the creation.
therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, (11) | | فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ ﴿11﴾ |

which favors of your lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie?
he created the human from clay, like earthenware (14) | | خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ ﴿14﴾ |
and he created the jinn from smokeless fire.
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
the lord of the two easts, the lord of the two wests.

he has let forth the two seas, they meet together, (19) | | مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ﴿19﴾ |
and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass.
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
pearls and corals come from both.
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
also, his are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea.
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
all that live on it will perish.
yet the face of your lord will abide forever, majestic and splendid.

which favors of your lord will you both belie?
we shall surely aim, o both burdened.
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
tribe of jinn and of human, if you are able to penetrate the provinces of heaven and earth, pass through them! but you shall not pass through except with a power!
which favors of your lord will you both belie?
flames of fire and molten copper shall be loosed against you, and you shall not be helped.

when the heaven splits asunder and turns crimson, like red leather.
