In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
hameem. (1) | | حم ﴿1﴾ |
a sending down from the merciful, the most merciful. (2) | | تَنزِيلٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿2﴾ |
a book, the verses of which are distinguished, an arabic koran for a nation who know. (3) | | كِتَابٌ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿3﴾ |
it bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. (4) | | بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ ﴿4﴾ |
they say: 'our hearts are veiled from that to which you call us, and in our ears there is heaviness. and between us and you is a veil. so work (as you will) and we are working. ' (5) | | وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ ﴿5﴾ |
say (prophet muhammad): 'i am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your god is one god. therefore be straight with him and ask him to forgive you. woe to the idolaters, (6) | | قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا إِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿6﴾ |
who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the everlasting life. (7) | | الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ ﴿7﴾ |
for those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage. ' (8) | | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ ﴿8﴾ |
say: 'do you disbelieve in him who created the earth in two days? and do you set up equals with him? he is the lord of the worlds. ' (9) | | قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُ أَندَادًا ذَلِكَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿9﴾ |
he set firm mountains on top (of the earth) and he blessed it. and in four days he ordained in it many provisions, equal to those who ask. (10) | | وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَاء لِّلسَّائِلِينَ ﴿10﴾ |
