Chapter 37: AS-SAAFFAT (THOSE WHO SET THE RANKS) - Translation

| | | so ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom we have created. we have created them of sticky clay. (11) | | فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ ﴿11﴾ | no, you marvel, while they scoff. (12) | | بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ ﴿12﴾ | when they are reminded, they do not remember. (13) | | وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ ﴿13﴾ | when they are shown a sign, they scoff at it (14) | | وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ ﴿14﴾ | and say: 'this is nothing but clear sorcery! ' (15) | | وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿15﴾ | what, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. (16) | | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ﴿16﴾ | what, and our forefathers, the ancients! ' (17) | | أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ ﴿17﴾ | say: 'yes, but worthless. ' (18) | | قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ ﴿18﴾ | it will be but one shout, then see, they are watching (19) | | فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿19﴾ | and they will say: 'woe for us. this is the day of recompense. ' (20) | | وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ﴿20﴾ |
