Chapter 37: AS-SAAFFAT (THOSE WHO SET THE RANKS) - Translation

|
| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | by the aligners (angels) aligning. (1) | | وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا ﴿1﴾ | and the drivers driving, (2) | | فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا ﴿2﴾ | and those who recite the remembrance (3) | | فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا ﴿3﴾ | surely, your god is one, (4) | | إِنَّ إِلَهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ ﴿4﴾ | the lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the lord of the easts. (5) | | رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ ﴿5﴾ | we have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, (6) | | إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ ﴿6﴾ | a protection against every rebel satan; (7) | | وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ ﴿7﴾ | so they cannot listen to the high assembly, for they are pelted from every side. (8) | | لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَى وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ ﴿8﴾ | they are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; (9) | | دُحُورًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ ﴿9﴾ | except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. (10) | | إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ ﴿10﴾ |
