| | | among my worshipers there were a party who said: "lord, we believed. forgive us and have mercy on us: you are the best of the merciful." (109) | | إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ﴿109﴾ | but you them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget my remembrance. (110) | | فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّى أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ ﴿110﴾ | today i shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. (111) | | إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ﴿111﴾ | and he will ask: 'how many years did you live on earth? ' (112) | | قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ ﴿112﴾ | they will reply: 'a day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count. ' (113) | | قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلْ الْعَادِّينَ ﴿113﴾ | he will say: 'you have tarried a little, did you know? (114) | | قَالَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿114﴾ | did you think that we had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to us? ' (115) | | أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿115﴾ | high exalted be allah, the king, the truth. there is no god except he, the lord of the noble throne. (116) | | فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ ﴿116﴾ | whosoever calls upon another god, other than allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his lord. the unbelievers shall never prosper. (117) | | وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ ﴿117﴾ | and say: 'my lord, forgive and have mercy, for you are the best of the merciful. ' (118) | | وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ﴿118﴾ |
