| | | but no messenger came to them except he was mocked. (11) | | وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ ﴿11﴾ | so we make it enter the hearts of the sinners. (12) | | كَذَلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿12﴾ | they do not believe in it even though the practice of the ancients has already gone. (13) | | لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ الأَوَّلِينَ ﴿13﴾ | if we opened a gate in the heaven and they kept ascending through it, (14) | | وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ ﴿14﴾ | still they would say: 'our eyes were dazzled; truly, we must have been a bewitched people. ' (15) | | لَقَالُواْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ ﴿15﴾ | we have set constellations in the heavens and made them pleasing to the beholders, (16) | | وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاء بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ ﴿16﴾ | and guarded them from every stoned satan. (17) | | وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ ﴿17﴾ | except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame. (18) | | إِلاَّ مَنِ اسْتَرَقَ السَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿18﴾ | we have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. everything we have caused to grow therein is justly weighed; (19) | | وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ ﴿19﴾ | and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. (20) | | وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُ بِرَازِقِينَ ﴿20﴾ |
