| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | woe to every backbiter, slanderer (1) | | وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ ﴿1﴾ | who amasses wealth and counts it, (2) | | الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ ﴿2﴾ | thinking his wealth will render him immortal! (3) | | يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ ﴿3﴾ | on the contrary! he shall be flung to the crusher. (4) | | كَلَّا لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ ﴿4﴾ | what shall let you know what the crusher is? (5) | | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ﴿5﴾ | (it is) the kindled fire of allah, (6) | | نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ ﴿6﴾ | which shall oversee the hearts, (7) | | الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ ﴿7﴾ | closed around them (8) | | إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ﴿8﴾ | in extended columns. (9) | | فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ ﴿9﴾ |
