In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
have you received the news of the enveloper? (1) | | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ ﴿1﴾ |
on that day faces shall be humbled, (2) | | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ﴿2﴾ |
laboring, wornout, (3) | | عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ﴿3﴾ |
roasting at a scorching fire (4) | | تَصْلَى نَارًا حَامِيَةً ﴿4﴾ |
that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, (5) | | تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ ﴿5﴾ |
no food for them except thorny plants (6) | | لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ ﴿6﴾ |
which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. (7) | | لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِن جُوعٍ ﴿7﴾ |
(whereas other) faces on that day will be joyful, (8) | | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ﴿8﴾ |
well pleased with their striving, (9) | | لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ﴿9﴾ |
in a garden on high, (10) | | فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ﴿10﴾ |
