In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | |
when the sky is torn apart, (1) | | إِذَا السَّمَاء انشَقَّتْ ﴿1﴾ |
hearing and obeying its lord, as it must do; (2) | | وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ﴿2﴾ |
when the earth is stretched out (3) | | وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ ﴿3﴾ |
and casts out all that is within and voids itself, (4) | | وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ ﴿4﴾ |
obeying its lord, as it must do!
o human, you are working hard towards your lord and you will meet him.
then, he who is given his book in his right hand (7) | | فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ ﴿7﴾ |
shall have an easy reckoning (8) | | فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا ﴿8﴾ |
and will return rejoicing to his family.
but he who is given his book from behind his back (10) | | وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاء ظَهْرِهِ ﴿10﴾ |
