In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
when the sky is split, (1) | | إِذَا السَّمَاء انفَطَرَتْ ﴿1﴾ |
when the planets are scattered, (2) | | وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انتَثَرَتْ ﴿2﴾ |
when the oceans are gushed forth, (3) | | وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ ﴿3﴾ |
when the graves are overturned, (4) | | وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ﴿4﴾ |
the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. (5) | | عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ﴿5﴾ |
o human! what has deceived you concerning your generous lord (6) | | يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ ﴿6﴾ |
who created you, formed you and proportioned you? (7) | | الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ﴿7﴾ |
in whatever shape he will he could surely have fashioned you. (8) | | فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاء رَكَّبَكَ ﴿8﴾ |
rather, you belied the recompense. (9) | | كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ ﴿9﴾ |
yet over you there are watchers, (10) | | وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ ﴿10﴾ |
