Chapter 79: AN-NAZIAT (THOSE WHO DRAG FORTH) - Translation

|
| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | by the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), (1) | | وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا ﴿1﴾ | by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), (2) | | وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا ﴿2﴾ | by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently (3) | | وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا ﴿3﴾ | and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, (4) | | فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا ﴿4﴾ | by the managers (angels) affair. (5) | | فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا ﴿5﴾ | on the day, the shiverer shivers (6) | | يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ﴿6﴾ | followed by the succeeding, (7) | | تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ ﴿7﴾ | hearts will throb on that day (8) | | قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ ﴿8﴾ | and their eyes will be humbled. (9) | | أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ ﴿9﴾ | they say: 'what, are we being restored as we were before, (10) | | يَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ ﴿10﴾ |
