In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
praise belongs to allah who has sent down the book to his worshiper (prophet muhammad) and has not made any crookedness in it, (1) | | الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجَا ﴿1﴾ |
unswerving. to warn of great violence from him, and to give good tidings to the believers who do good deeds that theirs shall be a goodly wage (2) | | قَيِّمًا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا ﴿2﴾ |
and they will live for ever therein. (3) | | مَاكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا ﴿3﴾ |
and it (the koran) warns those who say: 'allah has taken a son. ' (4) | | وَيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا ﴿4﴾ |
. surely, of this they have no knowledge, neither they nor their fathers; it is a monstrous word that comes from their mouths, they say nothing but a lie. (5) | | مَّا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِآبَائِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا ﴿5﴾ |
yet perchance, if they do not believe in this tiding, you will consume yourself with grief and follow after them. (6) | | فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا ﴿6﴾ |
we have appointed all that is on the earth an adornment for it, in order that we try which of them is finest in works. (7) | | إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ﴿7﴾ |
we will surely reduce all that is on it to barren dust. (8) | | وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا ﴿8﴾ |
or, do you think the companions of the cave and the tomb stone were a wonder among our signs? (9) | | أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبًا ﴿9﴾ |
when the youths sought refuge in the cave, they said: 'lord give us from your mercy and furnish us with rectitude in our affair. ' (10) | | إِذْ أَوَى الْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى الْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا ﴿10﴾ |
