| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | perish the hands of abilahab, and perish he! (1) | | تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ ﴿1﴾ | his wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; (2) | | مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ ﴿2﴾ | he shall roast at a flaming fire, (3) | | سَيَصْلَى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ﴿3﴾ | and his wife, laden with firewood (4) | | وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ ﴿4﴾ | shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! (5) | | فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ ﴿5﴾ |
