Chapter 102: AT-TAKATHUR (RIVALRY IN WORLD INCREASE) - Translation

| | | In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful | | بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ | the excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) (1) | | أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ ﴿1﴾ | until you visit the graves. (2) | | حَتَّى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ ﴿2﴾ | but no, indeed, you shall soon know. (3) | | كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿3﴾ | again, no indeed, you shall soon know. (4) | | ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿4﴾ | indeed, did you know with certain knowledge (5) | | كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ ﴿5﴾ | that you shall surely see hell? (6) | | لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ ﴿6﴾ | again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. (7) | | ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ ﴿7﴾ | on that day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. (8) | | ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ ﴿8﴾ |
